FRUSTRATION! My phone screen went blank and froze. I restarted it and it never came on again. The keyboard will light up but the screen remains black, no sound, no calls, no power on except lighted keyboard. This was the second of the same phone that did that. The first one was eleven months old. Cingular replaced it. This one was ten months old. I switched to Verizon out of frustration and love Verizon and my new LG phone however, I would like to get this one working so I can give it to a friend. Help! Thanks! Sunny D
I had the same problem as well. there is a small button to the top right of the settings button. you can take a toothpick or paperclip and gently tap the button several times. tap it to see if you get a response, if not then turn off the phone and turn on the phone with the button tapped.

this is the second time in three months that my phone quit working. Very frustrated! Will not make or receive calls or messages and data does not work. Have had this replacement phone for 2 weeks.
when powered up, keyboard lights up but screen does not. Sound of trying to connect to wireless can be heard but nothing appears on the screen, and no buttons work. Screen remains dark when phone is powered on but is closed.
