We have direct tv, the other day while attempting to format our mitsubishi tv from the direct tv remote something went wrong and we lost about 20 channels from our regular and direct tv. Now when we swtich...

I would start with the DirecTV unit first and set the resolution back to 480i. This can be done in the menu or with a button on the front of the receiver, all modes are shown on the front of the unit. It's not uncommon to get that message when using the DTV input on MITS tv's, it's just a formatting glitch...but a bit annoying. Your set may not decode 720p resolution so I suspect those channels that broadcast that format may be your problem.

Picture goes out and I get the message "The connections for RGBHv or yPrPb may be invalid" all the time

You could have a problem in the DM board assembly. First thing to do is open it and see if the DM power supply capacitors are swollen or bad. This could be a very costly repair unless you know how to solder and work on printed circuit boards. If you do not, play it safe and call in a pro to assist you in this repair.

Hope that helps.........

Ws 65611 will not play HD channels. Screen gets fuzzy like it is trying to focus, then converts to blue screen that states "Check connections or power. The connections for RGBHV or YPrPb invalid" I have...

This model only has one HD input---it has two sets of component inputs on the back and one is marked 480/1080----in the menu it will be the DTV input.

Check to make sure you are not connected to the other component input.

Let me know what happens and let me know exactly where you are connected and what are using for signal.

If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Can you help with this error message: "Check connections or power. The connections for RGBHV or YPrPb may be invalid." Getting no picture for any devices connected to the screen.

There is a problem with the Component video cables and/or connection. These are the 5 RCA cables. Red, Blue, Green and two additonal cables for audio in red and white. Be sure they are connected to the proper ports on each end. Not sure what you have connected to the TV with these cables, but HDMI would be best. You also should have selected "Video" from the Input button on the tv's remote. Check these and follow up if possible.

Tv goes off, then comes on, and volume goes to max

OMG! Verizon Fios at it again with changing boxes! Well let me tell you if you do not loose signal on a DVD using these same inputs ITS NOT YOUR TV!

Whats going on is further into Verizon system you loosing the signal from the VDSL slam outside in the pill box. This thing will need to be replaced and they are going to blame your TV until you just give up and buy a new TV only to figure out its not your TV.

1. Call them back
2. tell them to check there network
3. if that dont work tell them to check it again
4. if you have HDMI use that instead of the scart connections.

I hope you have luck with Verizon Fios there internet rules but there TV service is sub par!

Thanks

Error message: check connections or power-the connections for RGBHV or YPrPb may be invalid. The screen is a two tone blue and is flashing.

DO NOT do anything to your Mitsubishi WD-52525 until you read this forum overseen by a Mitsubishi certified repair technician: http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/mitsubishi/11703-problem-mitsubishi-wd-52525-scrambled-picture-no-picture-2.html . There has been a worldwide problem in computers and TVs over the past several years with faulty electrolytic capacitors (from Taiwan) that decay, dry out, swell and die. The power supply is often the first component to go bad, but other systems also degrade over time. As the forum explains , this problem is widespread in these sets causing multiple types of display problems after several years of use. Mitsubishi is aware of the problem and will cover most of the cost of repairing the chassis, even years out of warranty, but apparently ONLY if you get an estimate from a Mitsubishi certified repair station and contact their customer support BEFORE doing any work on the set. I just followed the recommended procedure on that forum and Mitsubishi is covering half the cost of my $700+ repair when my 3+ year-old set recently died and showed only a blue screen. I'm not sure if this is your problem, but it might be.

Code says check connections or power. RGBHV or YPrPb may be inval

Dunno. But if the tv has been 'reset' you will need to re-assign all devices (via NetCommand). Also complete the setup again to verify audio & video selections. If you can select "video" on the remote, you should see various video options...including brightness, etc. If OK...you need to get the right device assigned to the TV for viewing from cable box.

Mitsubishi WD-52525 with green horizontal lines

You need to replace the capacitors on the FMT PWB this is a common problem with the V26 chassis which is what your model number is. They have some bad capacitors that need to be Changed. There is a repair Kit available for the FMT repair.Let me know if you would like the link for the repair Kit. Please respond to this same post if you do want the repair kit which does involve soldering.

Blue screen when in TV mode, hace HDcable

Blue screen indicates you have no signal/source. Double check that the signal source good. Replace cables if you can, make to look closely at both ends of cable. What is your signal source cable, sat.,?
