Question about Intel D850MV Motherboard
Do i get RDRAM? yes, and never mix your memory. Use Supports fast PC800, PC600 RDRAM* memory from 128MB to 2GB. Question: As of now there's 2x128mb in there, with 2 other things filling the other 2 slots, what are they? Answer: These are dummy memory sticks u may remove these to add more memory sticks. You can use 128MB x4 or 512MB X4 (PC600/800 RDRAM) Best bet is 512MB X4

No you cannot fit sdram, they will not fit. Go to the link below and it will explain what memory you have and if you use the pc to go to thie link there is a memory advisor tool to the right of the page which will search your pc and advise you as to what upgrade you can have. http://www.crucial.com/library/ddr_vs_rdram.asp

check to make sure you have added the right type of memory. also look at your user manual. it should tell you where and how to place the added sticks. sometimes they have to be added in pairs or have to be in specific slots. also if you dont have the manual it is on the gateway site. you should type in your model and serial number and get all the info you need.
