We have the system up and running and the wii sports that comes with system is working fine. We then try to insert the 'big league' sports disk or the 'mario kart' disc and neither works (each bought in different stores so I'm thinking it's a setup issue). The mario kart disc allows kids to set up game, but then when hit the start button screen goes black and stays that way. The big league sports shows initial screen, but again, once the start button is hit, the screen goes black. We've tried to power off and start over as well as to clean discs. Very odd, what's going on here?
If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is totry another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc.
