Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. SOURCE: need drivers for the belkin
I recently purchased a Belkin router and had to update the firmware. I called Belkin who directed me to their UK site. The firmware is downloadable from the site BUT depends on the version of the router (this is written underneath). It will say eg ver.5000, corresponding to version 5; or, ver.4000 for version 4. You have to download that which corresponds to your version. Try this:

THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE BELKIN RTR AND THE 660 HAVE THE SAME IP ADDRESS THE QUICKEST FIX IS TO RENAME THE LAN IP ADDRESS OF THE BELKIN RTR

You don't need the cd. It has a connection wizard that helps set it up but you don't need to use that. You need to go to the belkin website and download the manual. That was also on the cd that's missing. Used to be a paper one in the box.

That will tell you how to get setup. For the most part routers run as is right out of the box. You will want to setup the wifi so you will need a SSID name to call it and then turn on the security. WEP or WPA are the usual suspects. Pick a 5 or 10 alphanumeric key. Turn on the wifi. Then you may need to enable dhcp so your computers will get ip numbers from the the router. Most of that is enabled by default on most routers. Wifi usually isn't as it requires more information.

To set up the router , you don't need the CD.
you can do it manually.
First make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If yes then connect the modem and the computer to the router and set up your router.
