There is a flashing light next to the on/off button. The light is marked 'timer' ....what does that mean and how can I turn it off so that the TV will turn on?
My timer light stays on, I have been able to get the t.v. to come on once but I don't know what I did to get it to do that. Flashing of timer is fault indications. Check this site for more
details. It has more than 1400 posts to
different brands of electronic entertainment and other equipments. All posts referrers with the repair and
fault finding to electronic entertainment equipments. It will be best to view it either in Flipcard or Timeslide
option, can be selected by the sidebar tag at the top left of the display
screen. Timeslide view will be the best to select. If you are using Google Chrome as browser, Flipcard
option will be the best.
Timer is not the problem---the tick ticking sound is the shutdown circuit in the set that has been triggered by a short somewhere likely in the high voltage area or the convergence circuit---shop repair---says Akai but I suspect set was made by Samsung who owned that name at one time.
the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.
If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.
The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.
Yellow flashing light? Did you get any picture? Bet, not! It means: your lamp door interlock is not engaged: did you forget to turn the locking knob? Did you install lamp compartment door? That might be the only issue. Lamp timer blinks 'red", while TV works normally. Reset the timer, it's gone, along with annoying message. Yellow means: interlock or thermal protection is off. Try to repeat lamp installation procedure. then, you'll find out your mistake. don't need to remove the lamp. It would be "red", if lamp won't fire up. good luck, Alex.
Hi, Is it Mitsubishi WD-52628 TV? please confirm model number. Unplug TV from AC outlet for couple of minutes, replug back in, turn power ON and check, still same problem? Lets read error code in TV, press Device and Menu buttons on front of TV at same time for 6 seconds that will activate error code read process. Led will flash in 2 sequence with half second pause. count it and let me know the error code to proceed. Thanks.
When the timer light stoped flashing the remote control would not turn on the TV. The next time the light quit flashing I held the power button in on the TV for about 5 seconds and it came on and has had no problems since then with the remote or the local TV power button.
