I do not think that this motherboard has any audio capability as it was intended to be used as a headless server. It has a PCI expansion slots. Perhaps you can add a daughter card for audio.
It will find outdatet drivers.
I guess you have to try that first if you have software problems.
Take extremly care when upgrading the bios you have to make 100% sure
its the right bios or you will destroy the mainboard.
If there is no bios upgrade there is no need to do that.

does the server board have onboard video? typically server boards will make use of on board vga and if this is the case you will need to go into the bios and enable either agp or pci-e as your first choice of video support. also make make sure that the bios revision on the intel board is current and upto date as there have been problems with server boards causing random issues.
