HP3600N color fade

When printing a machine advertisement brochure (full size page) with mutiple greytone photos on the page and wording on the top and bottom which consist of orange and yellow printed letters. The paper is printed fine on the left side to just about the center of the page. Somewhere near the middle of the page on over to the right side of the page the greyscale photos have a violet or purpleish tint to them. When I run the internal photo demo on the printer , all colors seem fine

It is using the colours to make the grey and the proportion is not correct. Do a calibration.

Very likely one or more cartridges are faulty or running out of toner. Replace the all the cartridges and if this works. Put in one cartridge at a time of the old set to see which one is the culprit.

Printer is printing yellow instead of red and colour is fade

The magenta has run out (red).
Replace the HP 22 tri-color cartridge.
It probably has yellow and cyan (blue) left in it, and the black is most likely working as well, but if any of the 3 colors in the tricolor cartridge run out, the whole cartridge must be replaced.
For instance, if I printed my vacation photos and there was a lot of water and blue sky in all of them, the cyan might run out long before the cartridge life expectancy.
Also, don't forget that cartridges are rated in pages printed at 5% coverage.
Since a photo is about 25% of a full page, a photo printed at full bleed (edge to edge) will only yield 32 4 X 6 inch photos from a cartridge rated at 160 pages (5X expected coverage = 1/5 the prints)

How to Add a Background Picture to a Microsoft Word Document 2007

t is easy to add a background picture by using the Watermark feature. First, you will click on “Page Layout”. In that menu bar (or ribbon), click on “Watermark”. A window menu will open. At the bottom of that window menu, click on “Custom Watermark”.
In the new menu that opens, check “Picture Watermark”, then “Select Picture” to find an image file on your computer to use. You have the option to have the picture look faded, as a watermark, or displayed in its full color. Check “Washout” for the faded option, or uncheck, to view the background picture in its full glory.
You will then need to choose the size of your background picture, by selecting one of the options under “Scale”.
To remove the watermark, simply click “Watermark”, and choose the “Remove Watermark” option.
Even if you don’t choose the “Washout” option, the background image will appear faded while you are working on your page. But, if you view the page through “Page Preview”, you can see how the background will look when printed.
To get to the "Page Preview" command, click on the button.jpgOffice Button on the upper left hand corner of the Word 2007 screen. Move your cursor over the "Print" option, and another menu will open to its right. On that menu, click "Print Preview".

Creating Flyers

I would suggest using a text box instead of a water mark and adjust the properties of the font color in the text box to be a very light color to your choosing then copy this and put it in the four places that you want. I think you can do this in works as well as word.

Margin printing problems

Check your application's print settings (for e.g. MS Word). Then check the printer's properties and print settings. If nothing works you also try re-installing the latest printer driver. If you use MS word should check the page setup option, for paper size errrors. If the color of your margin is red and the red ink is out then you won't se the margin line.
