I only use the quickwash cycle on my dishwasher so I don't know if this happens with all the cycles but when I start the dishwasher, it states how much time is remaining, then when the timer gets to about 21-22 minutes, it goes back to 34 minutes and starts that cycle over again, this time around it gets lower than 20 minutes, to about 14, then it goes back up to 26 and so on. I didn't actually let it run after that to see if it would finish, I just keep stopping it cause I need the dishes. I haven't had time to let it run it's course but I was wondering if you could shed a little light on my problem here. I called Maytag and they said they had never heard of that problem, they had me unhook it from the power source for 30 minutes to reset the computer, but it didn't change anything.
Thank you
I found out that the problem seems to be with the rince cycle, if i put the dishwasher on rinse only, it just goes through non stop rincing cycles. Any ideas?I found out that the problem seems to be with the rince cycle, if i put the dishwasher on rinse only, it just goes through non stop rincing cycles. Any ideas?
I understand what you are saying, but the odd thing is it fills, does the first rince, I'm assuming this is the one you are talking about, or either way it does the actual wash... then after it's done that cycle it empties, refills, then restarts over. So it's not like it's just filling then pausing, then empty then fill again and heat, thus making the timer go back.. it goes through the cycle the first time, it's at about 31 of 38 minutes, then does as stated above and goes back to 37 minutes, then does the cycle again. Now this time it will actually go past 30 minutes to about 21 22... and do the same thing. Finish a cycle then start it over again. It actually takes almost 1h15 minutes to do a 38 minutes cycle. That's double... could that be atributed to a heating thing? Re:
Aestaie, On the quick wash cycle the machine goes through a heated rinse at 160 degrees. I think what's happening here is that the board checks the thermistor and is finding that the water is not hot enough and say's, hey, I need more time to heat this water and resets itself. The element in the dishwasher will only heat the water 1 degree every 3 to 5 minutes. So after the initial wash, there is a 2 minute drain, it fills again and there is the heated rinse. If the water is 120 and the final rinse needs to be 160, we have some heating to do here. Therefore the reset. Sounds like the dishwasher is working OK, Catriver..post back

I'm so sorry to hear about your issue. I know it can be frustrating. I did a little search on Google and it may be a shorted circuit board from steam/heat getting behind the panel. Here's the link I found on "Just Answer" have Kenmore 1374 Dishwasher that is driving me crazy
I share your frustration with the same machine. Mine is approx 3-4 months old and within the first month i had a leak at the base of the machine which was fixed under warranty. The following month the machine started leaving water in the base of the unit after the wash cycle was complete. LG claim it is an electronic fault in the circuit board. I have refused repair and am now claiming a replacement with them. I don't feel it is acceptable for a machine that's only 3months old to give problems such as these.
what is happenig i believe and has happened to me 2 times is that the water level float that is on the left side of dishwasher is stuck.
Either remove side panel and flick lever or pull dishwasher out and tap lower portion of panel and this will cause the level to move and then see hat happens
Hello, welcome to FixYa. While I don't have access to my PC files at the moment as I am on my iphone, I believe this is the procedure for most B/S/H/ built dishwashers ( that means Bosch, Thermador, Siemens and Gaggenau ).
To Enable or Disable the Cycle Completion Signal...
1. Open the door, hold down the ?Quick Wash?
button and simultaneously turn the Dishwasher on.
The ?Quick Wash? light will blink (program mode).
2. While the light is still blinking, push the ?Quick
Wash? button.
? If the machine beeps, then the Cycle
Completion Signal has been enabled.
? When you push the button again and it
doesn?t beep, it means that the Cycle
Completion Signal has been disabled.
3. Turn the Dishwasher off to take it out of
program mode.

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.
Tarvi...I don't know what the problem is...hard to diagnose these things. If the unit is working correctly, I suggest that you simply cut the power for a few minutes and then restart it. That may clear our a trouble code.
