I have a Sharp AL-1655CS printer. There is a message saying that I need to clear a paper Jam but there is no paper in the printer. I have shut it down and restarted it, removed the ink cartridges and spun all the paper feed wheels. I can't figure out where the message is coming from. Any ideas?
I have the same problem, checked all the flags on paper path, fuser and pickup assy., all mopve smoothly, is probably a bad sensor but I don't have service manual for guidance., does anybody out there knows?I have the same problem, checked all the flags on paper path, fuser and pickup assy., all mopve smoothly, is probably a bad sensor but I don't have service manual for guidance., does anybody out there knows?

Where is it saying the paper jam is located? Do you have a service code?
It sounds as if either a paper pass switch is stuck in the down position (meaning it thinks there's a piece of paper there), or you may have a sheet of paper stuck in the fuser or behind a guide plate. Check on these and let me know!

This must be from Dust. Open the Printers portions and use a Mini Blower to clean the Dust. And after cleaning re fit the printer components. The Problem will be solved.
CHECK FOR ANY SMALL PIECES OF TORN PAPER INSIDE-IS THERE ANY FOREGIN OBJECT DROPED INSIDE LIKE PINS -CHECK THE FREE MOVEMENT OF ALL PAPER JAM SWITCHES AND CONFIRM THAT NO ONE IS STUCK WITH ANY FOREGIN OBJECTS DROPED INSIDE.
Are you pushing the grey button on the right side of the copier? Just around the right front corner of the front door. This button releases the right side door. Opening and closing this door also resets paper jams. This is also where a jam would most likely be located and right where the digital sign is.
Pull out the paper tray and look inside. Open the right door and look for the paper in the bottom and look in, around and above the fuser. If no paper is present, you have have a bad/broke paper detect sensor.
Hello sir; Go back to wherever you pull out the paper, because you pull the paper in opposite direction therefor pull off the senser,go back where the paper jam put the senser back in right position.
Check that the paper feed roller is clean as if the roller slips it causes a late paper pickup jam but nothing will be in there also maybe a small torn piece in the machine some where. and check the fuser make sure that is it not stuck in there if no to all these then is will need a control board.
