Hey Bob Get in touch with the http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com and ask them abouth the manual cleaning methods for your printer. They have a document that is very discriptive about cleaning clogged nozzles.

Epson WP 4530 clogged print head

Higher end ink jet units also give you the option to flush print heads. Flushing a print head uses more ink to attempt to resolve a clogged print head, but can unclog a print head. See if your unit has a print head flushing option and try that. If that doesn't do the trick, the next option is to see if you can purchase a magenta print head and replace the clogged magenta print head that is in your wp4530. Once again some ink jet units have user replaceable print heads and others don't. Good luck.

Printer heads clogged on an epson stylus photo R1800. anyone know a repair facility in the Jackson, MS area?

put the printer head in ultrasonic tub with some alcohol, it will unclog your head for sure, if you dont have one u can just plunge it in some alcohol until clogged toner leaks out, u can notice it when alcohol changes the color

My canon pixma ip4000 has stopped printing. It is going through the motions but the paper is coming out blank with nothing on it.

Hi
If you have lots of flashing error lights or electrical problems then it is likely to be electrical.

However, if like most... and your Canon PIXMA iP4000 InkJet Photo Printer has just been left unused for some time? You probably have an ink clog on the cyan and magenta.
Or possibly a faulty cartridge.

Provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? Then you just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.
Magic Inkjet Flush usually works a treat on those!

Magic is ideal for unclogging the tiny jets on any Canon, Epson HP andremoving those horrible white lines which usually appear in prints whendried ink clogs several jets...

So if yours appears to be a clog? all you should need to do is to use the Magic Inkjet Flush kit to soak the print head and you should be printing again like new.

The print heads are clogged with dry ink.

Yup, thats the problem....

To keep them clean you need to almost use the printer weekly....or at least once per month min....

Try running the head cleaning utility....
You can run it as long as you have ink in your cartridges, maybe 5 times in a row....Wait about 10 minutes and try again....

With luck it will unclog itself....

Note: Your cartridge can also dry out (Yes the liquid evaporates), and leaves the pigment in the cartridge, which can further clog your machine....

As a last resort there are a few vendors on the internet where you can purchase head cleaning solution for epson cartridges....

Note; This problem is more common with printers that use pigment based ink as it tends to settle in the cartridge. Dye based ink has a shorter "Brilliance lifespan" but tends not to clog...
