Power relay is defective. All contacts are not opening when power is removed. Located on small power supply board, upper rt side.
s 901 part# FJ00142 should be under $10, do a google search with part number and 50 sources will appear.

Your problem is in deflection circuit (115+v) check these: FP05, DP15, Q777, QH01, TH01, T701, etc. BUT suspect C707 1k pfd, 2kv, and check all the pico fuses (brown) 2" to the right of cap. Good Luck, big IRISH.

Most of the case horizontal output transister failure cause these type of problems. Additionally flyback transformer failure also leads same problem but it depends upon aging of the tv. Whatever it is it could be fixed by service Technician only.

It's not coming on probably because the safety sees a short and is sparing you smoke damage. Double check to make sure any solder didn't cross or drop to another set of solder joints on the bottom. Probably a 'cold or detatched' solder joint on a component on that perticular circuit board you are 'wedging' with a plastic rod.

Could be as simple as a software upgrade if the picture looks okay after it come on... What software version are you currently running?

Check for shorted 102K/2KV capacitor near flyback transformer.Also,E994 fuse open. Replace cap w/3KV for durability.

try to unplug it for awhile like all day or do like i have and get one of those really cheep christmas light remotes and put it in line to turn off power and then every time that you turn off your set if the light dose not go out just turn off the power or have a repair man replace your power switch for alot of $$$$$.this work well for my system.
