How do I stop screen flickering

If this occurs within a specific application, it probably has to do with the fact that the application wasn't programmed for double buffering. If your screen is constantly flickering no matter what, it could be bad video drivers. Try updating them. If that fails, it's probably either bad hardware. Try a different video card. If it still persists, it's a bad monitor.

Aspire One netbook BSoD

Those error codes don't really mean very much to the general consumer, but blue screens of deaths are caused by bad RAM memory in your computer, not viruses. I'm going to take a guess that your computer is either several years old and/or it constantly get quite warm? Heat can shorten the life of computer components by quite a bit. You may need to get one of your RAM cards replaced to solve this issue.

There's a free program called Memtest86 that you can run to determine if this is the case. It will scan all your memory and look for bad sectors. You can download it here: http://www.memtest86.com/ and burn it to a CD. What it does is create a bootable CD that will execute the program as the computer turns on to scan all the memory. There are full instructions on their website. The process can take an hour or two depending on how much memory your computer has, and if it turns up any bad sectors then you know what your problem is.

A computer can run with bad sectors in the memory, but it makes it unstable that it will keep bluescreening, so if you have bad sectors in your memory it might be better just to replace the RAM. Luckily, this isn't too expensive. For instance, if your computer has 4GB of memory, it probably has 2 2GB RAM cards installed. You can get a 2GB replacement notebook memory for, I'd say $30 or $40. Installing RAM is very simple, and if you're willing to install it yourself, it won't cost you more than that.

Have any toolbars or new sofware been added recently? If so and you are using Win XP you may want to try a system restore to a previous point before the changes were made or uninstall the toolbars completely. Also disabled all Pop-Up blockers to see if that has any effect.clean up ur registry using reginout

How do I repair a toshiba m305 that has a flicker at the bottom of the screen

Unplug AC Charger. Kindly check the bottom part of the display if it still flickering while the ac adapter is unplugged. If system stops flickering issue was due to unstable charger, you may need to reseat the power cord or maybe replace the ac adapter itself.

On the other hand if display still flickers after you disconnect the charger kindly reinstall the display
driver. Since I don't have any idea what operating system youre using right now, I put all the link for all the available os for the graphic card driver.

For windows 7 (both 32 and 64 bit) Click here
For Win vista os with Intel Graphic card Click here.
For Win vista os with ATI Graphic card Click here.
For Win XP os with Intel Graphic card Click here.

Make sure to restart the computer after the installation. If same problem occured, please contact the computer manufacturer to have the video card replaced.

Should you have any other questions please leave a comment.

Cheers~

Problem installing Caesar 3 on Windows Vista

Hi!,
I'm using a vista premium SP 1.. So I did got the above errors.
What i did was, explore the disc-->right click setup.exe and click properties--> compatibility tab--> select run for win xp 2 and under admin.

Then when I installed I choosed a MINIMAL install option. If you the the above step yet choose full the error comes up.
Should work :))

Its annoying to insert disc everytime when you wanna play because of the minimal installation option but i figured to 'burn' and .iso image to my hard disk and use a cd/dvd image mounting tool. This part is purely optional tho:P

Ever since upgrading to Internet Explorer 8, I find that I cannot print emails, open up many attachments, and retrieve other information. For example, if I click on a link, I get the following message:...

Ther are known conflicts with Vista and IE8 - particularly with Vista 64-bit.

I would suggest uninstalling IE8 and reinstalling IE7 or using an alternative browser such as "slimbrowser" (excellent program) or similar.

IE8 can be uninstall by using Add or Remove Programs module in Windows XP, but in Windows Vista, Windows Internet Explorer 8 is not considered to be a ‘program’. Instead, IE8 is categorizing as an ‘update’. Thus, users will not be able to find Windows Internet Explorer 8 in “Programs and Features” of Windows Vista.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, go to Control Panel, and click on Uninstall Programs link or Programs and Features icon. Then on Tasks pane on the left, click on View installed updates link. Locate and select Windows Internet Explorer 8 in the list of installed updates, and then click on Uninstall button. Click on Yes when asked that are you sure want to uninstall the update.

If there is no option of IE8 been found on “Programs and Features” or “Add or Remove Programs” dialog box, or uninstallation of Internet Explorer 8 is unclean (causing error message such as setup cannot continue because a more recent version of Internet Explorer has been detected on this computer when trying to downgrade to IE7), try to manually run the spuninst.exe.
To do so, go to C:\WINDOWS\ie8\spuninst\ folder (your drive letter may be different), and run spuninst.exe.

Restart the computer after uninstallation completed.

Hope that helps :)

Job Status Window Interface has stopped working.

The issue usually occurs if you are using windows xp drivers on a vista machine. It's strange that the error does not come up when printing from internet explorer 7.0.

There is a file on support.dell.com that you can run to remove any xp drivers and then run the vista installation file. that should take care of these error messages from the operating system.

you can copy and paste the following links to download and run the files :

Patch file to remove xp drivers:
