SOURCE: No power at all even if i press the power button

Most likely the only thing wrong is the power button. Try to either replace the power button board or use a wire to short circuit the two points under the push button to turn the machine on.

SOURCE: Toshiba Tecra 8100 PIII laptop not booting

Hello,

I also have a tecra 8100 and my machine developed this exact problem. After much work, I finally figured out that it was a problem with the memory apparatus that holds the memory in place after it is installed. The memory modules are held in place by a cheap little plastic clasp. This clasp was no longer holding the memory far enough down in place and was causing an error when my machine tried to POST. As soon as I wedged something between the RAM and the access panel on the back(thus pressing the memory farther down in place), the machine worked fine from then onward. This is only a possible solution, don't take it as gospel. It's only one man's experience with his laptop.

SOURCE: Toshiba satellite m50-mx2 won't start up

Okay firstly we need to establish whether this is a hardware or software problem. I would suggest to boot up from a recovery CD so that the OS is not in use for that time. If it boots well with the CD, then you should look for malwares and possibly repair the OS. However, if with the CD boot the problem still persists (no activity as you say) then you know it's not a malware or OS problem and therefore rules out software issues. So then we need to look at hardware. I suspect it could be a power surge - depending on whether you installed new hardware recently that could cause conflicts. I would disconnect the power cord and let it use up the battery power until it switches off on its own. The power supply should then refresh itself (no more power left in the machine). After that, plug it back into the wall to let the battery charge up again and see if there is any improvement. If it still won't work, then unfortunately it will need to be looked at for any other hardware failures. In that case you should contact Toshiba to help out. If any of my suggestions help you, please do rate me. Thanks and good luck. I hope it all goes well for you.

SOURCE: Why My TOSHIBA SATELLITE A660-13Q Froze during

Possible that PC is hanging up as there is fault on the OS ( operating system) . So open the internet options in the browser and clean all the cookies, temporary internet files, defragment the drives and RESTORE the PC to an earlier set date.

You can use a registry cleaner like Advanced system care. Download from the site and check you system for corrupt files. Also use a good antivirus software which is active to keep your system performing without an attack on the OS. Remove all unnecessary programs installed which you do not use all the time and clean up the drives. This will free up the space and make your system faster.
If there is no response but the PC tends to work slower and occasionally hanging when a program is being executed then you might have to install the OS once again. Install the OS and then an antivirus before the drivers of the PC is installed.

Also a fault on the memory can be another issue but an hardware problem that needs a probe.

My Toshiba Satellite L645D - S4056 Laptop is not charging. When I remove the Battery to try charge it directly the lapop will still not pick charge. Right now i dont know if its the Charger or the laptop...

From what you I can understand the issue is the charger. Without the Battery the Laptop will not work as the Charger is not giving power to the laptop.
If this is the case you require a new charger. I would suggest testing with a similar charger if a friend has a similar model or taking it to you local shop before you spend money on buying a replacement.
