hi, im having this same issue, it shows an orange light saying that its charging but when i try to turn it on it comes up that screen saying to wait 15 seconds then it goes to a black screen then shuts off. Now the user "hhsspp" that sent a solution, i have a quick question, you said something about the cmos battery, how would you charge that cmos battery on a regular batter charger? Please reply that would be great! And sending it threw a cold cycle?

Ok Here is the REAL way to fix this: Most people dont think the V36 - V37 neet to be put back to " out of the box " settings, SO....

1. Turn off the main switch ( behind the battery door V36 ) (ON OFF on the bottom, back V37 )

2. Remove the battery V36 no need V37

3. Heres the one everyone overlooks REMOVE ANY STORAGE CARDS

4. Give it about five min to sit

5. Return the battery V36 NOTE: plug in the ac power source now, NEVER DO ANY UPDATES OR RESTARTS WITH OUT THIS PLUGED IN, IF THE BATTERY IS WEEK OR THE UNIT SHUTS DOWN YOU GET TO START ALL OVER !

6. Turn on the power switch

7. Wait for the unit to start, go through the start up instructions on your unit.

8. VERY IMPORTANT: This sucks, you have to clear and re-format your storage card there may be something there that is conflicting with your unit, I know this sucks, I know, but move any files you want to keep, picts, documents, excel files etc to your PC or Laptop for safe keeping, DO NOT KEEP BACK UP FILES OR PROGRAMS INSTALLED HERE, they can cause problems. Once you re-format your card move your files back to your storage card, if the problem happens again then its a file you may have saved so at this point clear the card of ALL files start at number 1 and when you get back to 9 everything should work just fine.

9. You are ready to start over, install first any patch files for the folding keyboard, keyboard drivers or IO card drivers first, that will insure they will work, if you start installing other programs they may write files to your unit that will prevent them from installing correctly.

10. Install your reformatted storage card and start re-installing your software.

I hope this helps, I have owned the V35, V36 and V37 Viewsonic Pocket PC's and have had my fair share of problems with them but nothing that cant be fixed somehow and no more than any other Pocket PC's out there.

Hello everyone, I´ve found out that this happens when the internal cmos battery drains out, since I´m located in Venezuela and this battery is hard to find, I´ve decided to recharge it for 5 min. on a normal battery charger, then I proceded to cold boot the unit and worked out just great. I Hope this helps.

Why don't you try to do a hard reset by one finger you hold the power button, the other hand use your stylus if this PDA has to hit on reset point at either at the bottom of the unit or aside and at the same time to bring th eunit back to the manufactuer default setting and from there, you may be able to find out what is going in on. The symtom is seem your PDA has software or firmware conflict and you may need to sync with PC to rerun an update firmware. Please visit www.viewsonic.com and check for download and update for detail. You may be able to see some solution there from other users. I hope this help.

How to get my cromo inc tablet to power on after i factory reset it

Odd, but try this: Some tablets do not fully shut down, even though the screen goes blank. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds, wait 15 seconds, and then try again to power up (hold power button for 3-5 seconds). Wait patiently for the power up, as power after factory reset may take longer than a 'typical' start-up. Good luck!

1st problem. Sounds like a bad oil pressure sending unit. 2nd problem. Will it start if you back up if you hold the accelerator to the floor.

The security system locked the jeeps ignition but i dont know how to restart the system and i try to start it and it wont not even jumping it help

if you have both ' original ' keys that came with the Jeep - you can try and flip them through the system and get the Jeeps computer to accept them,, take both keys and sit in the drivers seat -- with one key put it in the ignition and turn to the on position - wait about 15 -20 seconds, remove the key and then put the other key in and turn to the on postion -- wait 15 to 20 seconds, remove the key and now put the first key back into the ignition and turn to the on postion and wait 15 to 20 seconds,,, now try and start the Jeep.
now if one of the keys is not an original key ( a clone key ) -- then this might not work,, and you will need a automotive locksmith to come out and re-program your keys to the Jeeps computer. since you already have keys, this is not a very expensive trip -- you will just be charged for the service call and the programming of the Jeep.

I have a ford escort 1.8 diesel car when its cold its really hard to start i ahve changed the oil and glow plugs and fitted a new fuel filter any ideas any1 ?

Dont try to start the car when the yellow heater sign goes off, wait for about 10 to 15 seconds after , or until you hear the heater plug relay click, then try.
On a lot of cars , the yellow lamp goes off after a very short time , yet the plugs are not hot enough and the heater plug relay is still working.
Hope this helps

Remove the battery, wait a few minutes, and replace the battery while holding down the power button for 15 seconds. You may have to restore your data.

Put your key in turn it on dont start wait 10 mins remove key wait 10 seconds repeat this a total of 3 times. If that dont work try a different key do the same thing. If that dont work a dealer needs to probably replace and reprogram your ignition switch and keys

Takes multiple times to start

I think you have a faling fuel pump or a bad pressure regulator allowing fuel pressure to bleed down when the engine is off.
Try this test - When you start the car for the first time of the day, turn the key to "ON", wait a few seconds, turn the key off. Wait about 15 seconds, turn the key to "ON" again, wait a few seconds. Then wait one final time for 1 seconds and try starting the car. If it starts right away, that means fule pressure is bleeding of due to a bad check vavle int he fuel pump, a bad fuel pump or a bad pressure regulator.

The reason for the procedure is because when you turn the key to "ON", the fuel pump runs for 2 seconds and then shuts off if the engine is not running. The 15 seconds wait is for the power and fuel pump relay to cycle off before it will run the pump again.

Let us know how the test comes out. The fuel pump is in the fuel tank and hums when it is running.

Viking Electric oven beeping saying EOCGT v36 premiere poweringup

Sounds like leaving the door open has possibly cooked the controller. I would try a power cycle - power off at fuse for 5 minutes, then reapply power. If this doesn't clear it, you may need a new controller for it.
