I was watching TV for about an hour and all of sudden I see aflash and a pop and my set went dead. I did take the back cover off and checked my main fuse where the power cord goes to. I did find that the fuse had burnt out, I have not replaced the fuse, I was told by a TV repairman (Sears) if I replaced the fuse it would only burnout again, any suggestions?
Look at the power supply and see if there are any burnt componenets on, if so then be prepared to replace the power supply itself, I would go ahead and replace the fuse, they are cheap and at least you will know that it is something other than the fuse, fuses blow to protect the rest of the circuit,
Firstly, If you have taken the back off and been into it. as it seems you have. Your guarantee will expire! an engeneer will know some one has been into it as the screws have a small amount of solder. But if thats the case - Buy A new one and go to this link - http://www.dpbolvw.net/email-2197491-10380732 (price runner) evenmore you could get it repaired under a extra warranty if you have on at no charge! or get one from - www.domgen.com in the meantime good look Rverbaby = HTID
