My jensen VM9224BT deck will not turn on at all. The fuses are all good and I have the plug with with the power, ground and ignition all wired up but it still does nothing. Tried bench testing it by touching the ignition and power wires to the poisitive terminal of a fully charged battery and the ground to the negative and it still won't turn on. Brought it back to where I bought it and they turned it on when they bench tested it no problem. Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong?

SOURCE: 1996 olds cutlass supreme won't crank

You can jump across the celonoid on the starter. If the engine turns over then your problem is either the celonoid or the starter switch.

SOURCE: 1006 olds cutlass supreme won't crank

try taking a power wire from the battery positive and getting it on the starter terminal and seeing if the starter turns over if it does it could be a fusible link that runs between the starter terminal and the relay

SOURCE: 1991 Nissan 240SX starter will not turn!

If you've applied 12VDC to the solenoid and it does nothing, not even click, then the solenoid is toast!

SOURCE: key switch on, push ignition button & nothing happens

Check your ground wire to the frame. Clean and refasten....and find a new mechanic, no excuse for inferior workmanship...Sure sound like a ground problem !......Good Luck to you friend....Tim

Jensen vm9215bt car radio will not power up

Are the fuses okay? With the ignition switch off, you could hook up a temporary wire from the chassis of the car (the outside metal part of a cigarette lighter is a good ground) to the backside of the radio. Once secured, you can try the stereo again.

This question is still unanswered to this day, Does anyone know for POSITIVE how to cure the parking brake issue on the Jensen VM9224BT?

The Pink wire is negatively switched wire in the green plug, this should be cut and it should function all the time it's on.
So when you put the brake on it grounds that wire and shuts the screen off (safety)
If that doesn't work it will be switched by applied 12v.

I haven't looked at what other solutions say, that's just what I see from the diagram

any problems get back to me and i'll try to help out.

You don't need a switch, just ground the pink brake wire from the harness and the bypass is complete.

I'm installing a Jensen vm9224bt in a 04 ford f150

I have an 05. The extra plug from the factory harness is for the steering wheel controls. Leave it unplugged. I just installed the same stereo.

Jensen CD-510K hooking a 200 watt amp to it.Need to know what wires need to use to hook it up

rca cables for audio and a remote wire. just plug the rca cables into the plugs in the back of the deck and the remote wire (i suggest buying a thicker (speaker wire size) gauge wire since it allows you to get more power out of the amp) to the blue remote wire coming from the deck. you will also need an 8 gauge power wire (12 inches to 12 feet depending on where the battery and amp are) and an 8 gauge ground wire (no longer than 24 inches).

1991 buick park avenue. new radio isnt wanting to power up (no power)

there is a wire on the back of your radio that is red and it has to be hoocked up along with the yellow and the black, you have to hook that red wire up to a power source as well that is the wire that turns the radio off and on with your key.

Jensen vm9410 wont power up

easiest thing first. check the fuse on the hot wire on the radio harness. next, check to ensure the hot wire is to battery power, and the acc (likely yellow or orange) is attached to a wire that turns on with the ignition. next, check to ensure good ground. all this should take less than 10 minutes.

Vm 9410

Make sure that you have a good ground, Connect the orange wire and red wire are both connected to a reliable ignition wire and that the yellow wire is connected to a straight battery source. And that your fuse, if any, is tight and good. If this does not help, there may be internal problem of many sorts.
