"Key Locked Sysytem Shutdown Message"

Hi, When I connect the USB cabel to my PC and the port to my MP3 player it keeps showning me the message "Key Locked Sysytem Shutdown Message". I have even tried by shifting the hold slide to the right but it shows the same. I am tired to trouble shooting. Is there problem with the device itself? Mohan

The computer does not recognize my Atak MP3 player.

My Zen Vision M Series has worked fine with my Dell Inspiron 1150 for about a year with no recognition problems. However, as of about a month ago my PC denies a connection with the Zen now. In many instances a windows message keeps appearing saying that the the usb ports cannot accomodate the connection between the two fast enough. I had minor problems with the usb ports, however, a simple reconnection resolved the problem. How can I get my computer (which is running XP) to recognize my MP3 player and might it really be a usb problem? Would appreciate any assistance mel4pat2000

Setting up my zune with my pc

Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged

Make sure the OS is compatible

Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Battery Problem???

Ok it takes a while but heres the solution. Slide the hold button to ON and hold down the REC button. While still holding the REC button, connect the USB port and wait for your PC to find it. Once it has found it type this link in to download Firm Ware. It may take a while but it is worth the wait.Once it is downloaded to your player EJECT!!! the player before disconnecting the USB port. Now just wait for it to format yor player and it should be working good as new again. =)
