Firstly, "re-set" the T8 (ie for 3 secs to re-initialise the built-in firmware - refer to your manual, or download manual off Samsung website). This procedure will overide everything. If this gets it goin, then download the latest firmware update from Samsung website (download centre/mp3) and save newest firmware onto your T8 - your manual should explain how to do this. Always update your T8 with latest firmware when available (appropriate with your Windows OS), to eliminate any bugs in the firmware. Failing this, then a replacement battery is the next step. If still under warranty (ie less than 12mnths old), then have an approved Samsung service agent look at it Free of charge. Good luck.

Hey, shilly, first of all, thanks for trying to help me with my problem of my mp3 player being stuck on hold. I was so frustrated after no solution to my problem that I took a samuri sword and cracked it in half. First of all, if when you plug it into your PC, and it works, you might need to charge it again. I think that you slipping into the mud had WWW.SLASHMYSEARCH.COM nothing to do with it. The battery probably overheated and stopped working. You can try to fix it, or for a cheaper price you can buy the YP-T9, the newest 2 gig model. I hope this helps!

Full battery, doesn't start up

Mine is doing the same thing, and I've tried the same solutions as well as trying different computers and cables to recharge.

The one other possibility for mine is that I damaged it using a generic charger in the car that was supposed to work for "most" MP3 players. It did seem to - I mean, the player didn't blow up, catch on fire, or stop working! - but a day later, it collapsed. Maybe a coincidence, maybe damage from the car charger.

I'm guessing that it's time for both of us to send the units in for battery replacement.

Good luck with yours.

Truly MP3 13X only showing blue backlight

same here, you just have to keep messin' with (pluging it into computer, etc.). I know it sounds strange but that's how I deal w/mine. It eventually comes back to life.

Mp3 player wont play songs or anything

Only 2 suggestions here: 1) Make sure your HOLD switch is not enabled. 2) Try to update the firmware If neither of these work, time to send the unit back to Sandisk
