Having a problem with my minidisk player where it isn't playing at all showing battery full, all wires are in correctly, I know full well the md im using works because it plays in my car radio, when i try to play a md in my portable all i get is a whiring sound and a constant beep, the display has only a spining cd and full battery icon! I have also tried putting a md cleaner inside but it won't work because it doesn't play.
Any suggestions will be greatly received as I use my minidisc frequently, thanks for your time

Had the same problem a few minutes ago! removed the battery but it didn't help. tried with another md, no success tried the same md in another Mz 910, no success
then it got on my nerves and I gave the MZ n910 a little shock with my hand.
It worked, stopped spinning and started to play.
It was, I think, a spinning problem, md couldn't play properly, the little shock helped.

It is possible that the disk was recorded on another recorder using NetMD in SonicStage. Download SonicStage and edit/ erase your disk from within the program. Does your N910 have a USB port??
Sony Support web site has stopped support on some MD models,
however if you visit http://forums.sonyinsider.com/index.php?
you can most likely get all the support you need including drivers and SonicStage, which will work on Windows 7 & 8
i have a n910,yes it has a mic out on it and u can record from an audio source.i used mine at the weekend to record my dj set, just make sure u get a manual with it as i'm having a few problems with record levels being too high, but it's a great bit of kit.
i have same problem. maybe the tracks on the minidisk were not transferred from the same computer, as in I bought some disks that were already full, but my computer said error when I tried to delete. Solemuso
