I need to change the sound of the ring the alert makes when I receive a voice mail message....I don't like the way that one sounds. I looked everywhere on the phone but can't find it. You know, when you receive a message, the phone makes a noise letting you know you have received a new message. How can I change the noise it makes...I know there are different ones to choose from.I went to the ring tones but couldn't access it from there! Please advice....

I forgot how to clear the stored voice mails

Les,

If you want to delete the actual voice mails, you have to go through your phone company (using their keypad commands) since voice mail is only accessible through your phone (but the voice mail messages are stored through your phone company provider).

Info from the Uniden DECT 6.0 6035 Manual:

Using the Voice Mail Service If you subscribe to a voice mail service, you can use your phone to access your voice mailbox. The new message LED on the handset ?ashes and VM appears in the handset display whenever you have messages waiting in yourvoice mailbox. When you subscribe to the service, your voice mail provider provides you with the access number and the required voice mail signaling tone. You can use your phonebook to store the access number.

Resetting the Voice Message Waiting Indicator

When you receive a new voice mail message, the new message LED on the top of the handset ?ashes and
appears in the handset display. In the event your message alert tone gets out of sync with your phone company's voice messaging system, you can reset back to its original "no messages waiting" state. To reset, press and hold [?nd hs] on the base for ?ve seconds. A beep sounds and the message alert tone is reset.

Why does my samsung s380c phone have no text or voice mail alert signal

Menu > Messages > Msg Settings > General > Message Alerts

By default, this setting is "Off" - which makes absolutely zero sense. Try setting it to "Once", "Every 2 Minutes" or "Every 15 Minutes"

Changing this setting didn't help the no text alert issue with the Samsung S380C I'm dealing with, but it might work for you.

Every time I get a text message it alerts me by saying "Message from _____" and then the name of the person. I want to silent this feature but I cannot find the feature to do that.

What kind of vacuum is this anyway???

I will try to help you with your problem even though you have not identified your make and model phone and you are in the wrong category. I will try to help you by telling you what I would do with my phone to change this setting. The procedure for changing your phone is probably different ... but perhaps you will get some insight from my remarks.

This is for calls and messages - My phone is a **** style LG. On the left side there are two buttons. I press the bottom one to get a menu list. Next I press the Right Soft Key called 'settings'. Next I select item number 6 called "call alert" I press OK. My three options are ( ) ring only or ( ) Caller ID and Ring ( ) Name Repeat.

I use (>) caller ID + ring and I hear the number or the name of the caller if in my phone book then the ring I have selected for that caller or texter.

Specific for messages ... I select Settings & Tools then I select Sound Settings then I select Alert Sounds then I select Test Messages and then I make my setting.

I hope this assists you with your settings even though I feel you probably dont have the same phone as I.

How do I get rid of unwanted message alert sounds

Go to the sounds icon in the upper left corner of your main Home screen (the one that looks like a speaker with sound coming out of it). Scroll down the list that appears and select Set Ring Tones/Alerts. Click Messages, then select the type of message you want to modify alerts for and make your changes. (Don't forget to save them.)

If you want to remove alert sounds for more than one type of message, just hit the Cancel button, save your changes, and choose the other type(s) of message you want to modify.
