REFLECTION COATING Hi...hope you can help this isn't a technical problem but more a screen problem, i have just cleaned my plasma with a window and glass cleaning product and it seems to have taken off the light reflection coating... is there anything i can do to fix this or atleast get rid of the streaking

The ammonia in the glass cleaner ate protective coating. The only way to fix it is to replace the glass. $$$$$

Ultra low reflection multi coating

come on, it's just a filter. you use it like a normal filter. the multi-coating can possibly reduce problems compared to a non-treated filter, that's all.

If you are trying to clean a LCD or Plasma screen, use only recommended screen cleaners. Be very careful not to rub too hard or contrast coating may wear off screen. Do a small area first then dry and continue this procedure. Less streaks that way. Use very soft lint free cloths. You can use slightly warm water and very lightly dampen a cloth and clean as above.

Caution:

Never spray or put liquid directly on screens

Reflection off of screen

Plasma TV's are known for their glare and reflection issues, you can still fix it by buying a third party anti-glare filter and applying it on your television. For example, "ViewGuard" makes filters that goes up to 65" in size. It is not cheap though, depending on the size of your television.
Of course, the best solution is to adapt your room accordingly. If the glare is caused by the sun light coming from the windows, installing curtains on your windows or moving your television to a better spot is a very effective way to reduce the glare and the reflections on your television.
If the glare is caused by the room's lights, the best solution is to install ceiling spot lights with a dimmer.

My 2 year old sprayed kitchen cleaner over my plasma screen and it stained is there any thing i could do to restore it back ?

No, the screen or glass front is a part of the the entire display panel which costs as a part more than the set did when new.

The coating on the screen is photo chromic and anti glare in nature much like the coating on expensive camera lens.

I had a used one with similar damage and the only thing short of replacing the panel was we used very fine rubbing compound and carefully removed ALL the coating on the screen.

Picture was brighter but any glare from indirect light showed a loss of brightness.

Either live with it or replace the set. Most sets in the owner manual have warnings about what not to use when cleaning a screen.

We washed the screen with a windo washer and the coating started coming off. What shoulsd we do?

The chemicals contained in widow washers are incredibly damagingto the plasma panel and should never be applied to clean LCD or plasma screens as they do not have a glass screen, but are a digital panel screen. I'm afreid there is probably nothing you can do other than refer to user guide when cleaning and maintaining products. This may have also voided your warranty. To clean LCD and plasma screens, simply wipe with a lint free/ static free cloth. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

My son sprayed half a bottel of mirror cleaner on my flat screen what should i do

Depending on what is in the cleaner it may do no harm at all. The screen will have a anti-glare or anti-reflection coating on the glass. If the cleaner is mild it won't attack this coating. If it attacks it you may see shiny spot.

If you can clean it off without scrubbing ie blot it off don't rub it you may get away without causing any additional harm (if any). If the cleaner doesn't do any harm to the electrics then thats about all that could happen. There are some prducts that can be used to recoat the screens but they are not as durable as the original coating.

Coating film on screen has a 'hole' after cleaning

Not panic!

I'm reading it and i did it again, to give you the advise. the plasma screen is glass that's sure, then:

The actual problem is really simple. because i remember my last jobs with plasma and this is actually a film protector the manufacture use when the part is not installed yet in the actual tv set.

Your husband is right. (but the plastic is like one or two inches inside the frame and is hold it by the frame and the screws attaching the display.
if the tv is under manufacture's warranty have them clean their mistake. call them and make them peel it off for you.
but if there is not any waranty on it. then the solution is as you can figure it out . Have some one who can actually take all parts apart and finally peel off this film and put anything back together as is now. to let the tv cristal clear at the front.

Broke inner glass on plasma

that is the inner plasma display screen coating this means your plasma screen is done you can replace it if you find the same screen it is a bit technical to do this
if your plasma is still under warantee your okay if not you may want to locate or find a same model tv online site like ebay or electronics surplus site "as is for repair tv" or a same model with a good screen and exchange it or have the service man exchange it for you that would be a better choice than paying for a new screen they cost as much or more than the entire tv. hope this help
