Remove the front speaker grille, and then you will see a couple screws along the botton edge of the screen assembly. remove those screws and then grasp the screen assembly and slide it up to disengage the screen assembly retaining clips. Be sure to unplug the wire clip from the control buttons before completetly removing the screen frame.

Over 4 years old buyed convex topped capacitors to find ? if not ... then
Buy a canister cold spray open the backsite take a chair and place a mirror in front of your tv spray on the components spray on the passive components like capacitors or on the power supply/ backlight inverter and t-con board . if the right place is sprayed you see something happen on the picture.
You can use warm water and a soft cloth to try and clean it, but it will probably leave some evidence that liquid existed between the two layers at some point. Mitsubishi will deal screens directly to their customers if you ask nice enough and are willing to install yourself.
dirt internal to the tv. suggest taking the screen off and removing the small rectangular panel in the middle and spraying off LCD panels located under metal fins. this should fix distortion.......for now.
