When trying to transfer from digital camcorder to PC nothing happens.My cam reads that memoryis full.I can't get the cam to playback.I have changed the batteries and removed then inserted the SD card.Still no operation.

Your logic is correct, UB2 is a little faster. However, as you have discovered, it is not recognized by the software very well. The quick solution is to buy a firewire kit at Amazon or where ever and your problems are over. The harder solution is to find software versatile enough to recognize video from the UB2 port.
