My Garmin Nuvi 255w Gps's screen is frozen and it says "No detailed maps found that support routing. The Nuvi cannot be used without them." and I tried to reset it but it didn't work so how can I fix it?
You must call Garmin at 1-800-800-1020 they will walk you through plugging in nuvi to your computer (must have usb cord) and it will upload then go to my computer and choose garmin drive then click garmin folder and either find the folder they say or make new one like I did with the guy on the phone and put in code. The only information needed is the numbers on the bottom of the device.... super fast fix!

same problem i heard it was cause we didnt properly finish the calibration or something..
I had gps plugged in over night and it's still dead. It said it was charging. When plugged in and charging there is not a battery icon on the screen. Is the battery dead then? Thank you.
