Orange light blink canot recognized ink
I am having canon pixma ip 2700 inkjet printer. it worked properly till. I got refilled both cartridge and fix it in my printer but the cartridge was not recognized. i had tried installing the cartridge many times and also tried switch off and on it again many times but the printer shows the same error that "An error occurred.Some ink cartridges cannot be recognized." and a message box is opened and it shows that "An ink cartridge is not installed properly.Open the printer's cover, make sure the ink cartridge is installed properly, and close the cover." help me to recover from this problem i can't afford to buy new cartridges. suggest me some ideas and procedures to

What model printer do you have and can you list the print cartridge?
Also have you selected on the onboard printer menu that you have inserted a new cartridge?

One or both print cartridges are defective.Look under the "check ink" what message come.If it's BLK change black cartridge, if it's CLR change the color cartridge.If BLK and CLR change both cartridges.

E5 means cartridges error - to fix press the
"stop\reset" button for 5-7 seconds and then release it.
You can also try this:
1) With the printer power turned off but connected to a power source, while pressing the Resume/Cancel
button, press and hold the Power button.
(DO NOT release the buttons.
The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a function is
selectable.)
2) While holding the Power button, release the
Resume/Cancel button. (DO NOT release the Power button.)
3) While
holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button 2 times, and
then release both the Power and
Resume/Cancel buttons. (Each time the
Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light
alternately,
Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.)
4)
When the Power LED lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button the
specified number of time(s)according to the function listed in the table
below. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and
Power
LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting
with Alarm LED.)
4 times----Green (Power)------Waste ink counter

turn on/off, unplug, plug in, should reset configs.
go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats.
lastly, go to web site of printer model and check site for trouble shooting if this does not work above. HP has an awesome trouble shooting site

I have this problem too...I can see is my ink inside the ink hose is stuck.....can't go in to the ink Cartridge....so that means problem is the ink ...stuck in the middle of the ink hose...if anyone how to run the ink in the ink hose...please help me..=]
