When the dyer starts, it blows hot air. Then during the cycle, it blows cold air. The venting system is clean and clear. I changed the thermo fuse. Please assist. It could be the coil or themostat.

It might have more than 1 thermal sensor, if you can find a manuel and check. Also if you have a leak on your gas connection(flex hose, ect.)

Our dryer stopped heating up. We cleaned out all the vents and repleced the ignitor. Still no heat. Any suggestions?

If the ignitor is glowing then check the flame sensor for continuity if it is not glowing then check the thermal fuse. If the dryer heats up for a few minutes then doesnt after that replace the coils

Kenmore 110.70982990 front loading gas dryer. Everything seems to work, except the flame stays on for only 5-10 seconds, and therefore does not produce enough heat. Lights up again after a few minutes,...

Remove the exhaust vent from the rear and try a load of laundry.
If ir dries correctly, clean and or repair the connecting exhaust vent.
It may also be necessary to disassemble the dryer and clean internal ducts.

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...

it's not the thermal fuse, the dryer wouldn't run and the ignitor wouldn't glow.sounds like you have bad gas coils,if the dryer runs for the first 15 to 30 minutes normally and then no more flame the coils are failing, when they are bad they work until they heat up and then nothing, when they cool down they work again, common problem, also you should clean out the dryer once a year ,clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into,if your vent line is long take it off from the back of the dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower, make sure the outside vent is clear first, you can have a fire and then you can pop the thermal fuse, clean it and your clothes will dry on time, let me know what you find

Gas will come on and heat for a few minutes and then go out

you either have bad gas coils if it heats for the first 15 to 30 minutes and then the flame doesn't lite any more or you need to clean out the dryer because there is a blocked vent line or duct stopping the air from moving through the dryer and then to the outside.you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is and if the vent line is long i use a leaf blower to blow out the vent line.unplug the dryer when ever you're working on it

Dryer gets hot for the first few minutes only

first check your venting. if you have backed up lint then it will not heat as well. if it's not your venting i would check to see if your heating element is broken and shorted to the casing..some times it will still heat if the coils weld themselves to the casing...if the heating element looks good then i would turn to your electrical.

Dryer flame on magtag wont stay lit. Pilot flares up but no flame

Thermocouple is probably bad. The pilot burns and heats a sensor which tells the CPU that the Flame can start, and the thermocouple heating up changes voltage with increase temperature and tells the CPU that the Flame is burning OK. If it is defective, there is no voltage change and the CPU assumes that the Flame didn't start for some reason, (Gas only!) and turns if off for safety. Over and over xx times.

Good Luck!
