I accidentally put oil/gas mixture in my generator instead of gas only.

I ran the generator on it until it ran out and realized my mistake. I put gas only in it to try to clean it and it runs fine for now but have I ruined it?

SOURCE: gas in the oil on my honda generator

Your needle/float is stuck, which will allow fuel to flow though the intake...past the piston..and into the crankcase. If has been awhile since you used it, most likely the gas has gummed up the insides of the carb. Otherwise, you may have had something get into the fuel bowl that is keeping the needle from closing. Best way to solve is to remove and clean the carb. Replace fuel filter if needed also.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: I have a brand new

Hi there,

If I remember correctly this model does not use a fuel/oil mix. Please confirm this.

If what you are saying is that in filling the device with gas and checking the oil level, both overflowed, then we are good.

As you have done, drain both to their proper levels.

Now pull the spark plugs, they are most likely fouled with oil.

Turn the generator over a few times to clear the cylinder of excess oil.

Give the plugs a good cleaning. You may need to replace them. I just have a thing about tossing something with life still left in it.

Put the plugs back in and fire it up.

Best regards
Mike

I have a 2003 2-wheel drive 2500HD silverado, i accidentally drained the tranny fluid out except for what was left in the pan instead of the oil, realized my mistake shortly after it would rev up before...

Start it up to warm it up, check tranny fluid in park or neutral, if low, put more in. Hope it is junk though. If not low, you never know. I'd runit till it breaks and keep putting in fluid if needed.

My mum decide my sewing machine need oil but instead of oil she accidentally has put superglue instead.. Honest mistake.. Is there any chance I can fix this or do I bin it.. Please will try anything...

try nail polish remover
Acetone
  • Acetone, found in many nail polish removers, is the most effective way to dissolve super glue because it works on a chemical level to break down the bonds. Simply wipe the glue with a paper towel or cotton swab, removing it layer by layer until it is completely gone. Do not use acetone on plastics, as it will damage it or even eat through it in some cases.

Wrong gas

OOPPSS. Shannon, you have made the same mistake that all of us have made or will make. You only get one chance to save this motor. After it quit on you the first time. You do what you said by draining all the regular gas and refilling it with the the right mixture. What happens is you over heat the exaust port side othe the cylinder to the point of expanding them both until they rub and actually stick together. Thats the first time it qiuts. It will start again, after it cools for a few minutes, but if you havent put the right fuel in and it quits twice........The rings have stick in the piston and you wont have enough compresion to start it again, even with the right fuel/oil mix.

Here is the bad news,,,,,you need to go and buy a new one and dont do that again. To fix it it will cost more than a new one. Weird I know. Consider this an education. Sorry

What is the correct mixture for eb7000 blower? it ran perfect until i put in a mixture of all ratio oil mix ...one gallon of gas to one oil will run it all... now it boggs out and sputters then stalls...

50:1 is the correct mixture. Every company has an oil they would perfer you use. Namely, the one they make. I would imagine that if it ran perfect before you put that premix in there, the premix is your problem, assuming no one "borrowed" it and straight gassed it. It also sounds like once it gets warmed up, it begins to fail. I would do a compression test once it gets warmed up. Also, you could pull the spark plug, grab a flashlight, and see if you notice any scoring on the cylinder.
Here is a link for the manual, in case you lost yours.

Are you mixing regular motor oil in the fuel? Doesn't this bike have a reservoir for 2-stroke oil? You must use 2-stroke oil in that reservoir. Buy it online if you can't find it locally.

Most chainsaws in the United States operate on a 50:1 oil to unleaded gasoline ratio. Some manufacturers recommend a 40:1 mixture.

16" gas craftsman chainsaw needs tune up

being a 2 stoke there isn't much to tune up. the MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IN A 2 STROKE IS GAS AND OIL MIXTURE,too much oil will foul plug no big deal. replace plug. too little oil in gas will wash the crome lining in the cylinder off and you won't have the compression need to burn the gas any more. once you get that straight crank the saw and run it wide open, it should be quick to react to the trigger, that is no stumbling until it finally turns up. if it don't have a small screw driver handy and turn down the screw for the run mixture until it runs as fast as it can. also let idle. it should run on idle as long as you don't turn switch off. if it loads up and quits turn in idle screw until it does idle right . that's about it. also always make sure chain on bar isn't sagging too much when not running. a loose chanin will cause uneven wear on bar and make a crooked cut.keep chain sharp. they dull quick.NEVER leave gas in tank for long periods of time. after each use drain tank and start until motor runs itself dry.

Ryobi weed eater 30cc

Drain all the gas/oil mix out of the system. Press the red prime bulb several times until there is no fluid in the line. Pull the spark plug and clean it with a soft dry rag. Reassemble and fill tank with 2 cyl/gas mix. Prime it, then pull several times on the start cord. That should work.
