Plasma television bought second hand t.v plug it in, arial in light comes on no picture,no sound,help.

42' plasma magnavox model # 42MF230A has no picture and no sound
I had the same problem with an Insignia 42" 1080p. Turn off the tv power and disconnect all cables (i started with power cable, then HD cables then HDMI). Wait 30 seconds with nothing plugged in, then I plugged everything back in (in reverse order) and it works fine.

Plasma Picture going in and out
It sounds like you have a bad solder connection on the video board. Most likely, you will have to take the set into a shop and have it fixed unless you are familiar with electronics.

Just a Black screen
needs a Y-Sustain board, about a 300 dollar part, unless you have a warinty, also try turning the tv on, after you get a green light, unplug the tv, after 15 seconds plug it back in, sometimes will make tv come back on

btw for anyone experiencing these problems with the infamous "is-lcdtv32" byd:sign is the same manufacuterer as insignia, its the same company with a different sticker. i know this isnt a solution, but parts for all discontinued insignia';s can be purchased thru byd:sigh(by design). hope this helps .

picture cuts out on ps3 help my ps3 is connected to a sony str-dg910 receiver by hdmi and optical leads,recently the picture (only) whilst playing any games will cut out blank for a second and 720p will display on the screen,this can happen 1/4 times within 20 mins.my tv when set up with the ps3 supports 576p,720p and 1080i. i have just tried using 720p only setting,resetting the video settings on the ps3,all settings on the reciever,buying a new hdmi lead,running it directly from the ps3 to the tv but still it does it.i did recently fall into my tv cabinet breaking the shelf leaving my ps3 dangling by the wires,could this have caused damage to my hdmi output connection at the back?,but if so why does it only do it while playing games and not on bd or in the menues. i also have a xbox 360 running through the reciever and its fine so it cant be my tv either.im just looking for any input before i resign to sending it back to sony/warranty,also it has a 320gb hdd would i have to remove this before sending it back.thanks.

LG RU44SZ51D halogen bulb Has anyone changed the bulb in their LG RU44SZ51D projection DLP TV. We were watching last night we heard a pop and the screen went black. We found out today that it is most likely the bulb since the TV was purchased in 2005 and not covered under the extended warranty. We found a place that sells bulbs we just need some direction in how to go about changing it ourselves.

LG LCD TV Standby/Power light keeps blinking red I have an LG LCD TV (model number 26LXD). Now when the unit is off (or standby) the led on the front of the tv is a steady red. On power up it flashes green and then stays green. I just came home from a short vacation to find the led flashing red (non stop) and I cannot power up the unit. I tried unplugging it and let it set for a few minutes, nothing. I tried a different plug, wall socket to no avail. Now there was a fan running constantly in the unit even after power down (had been doing that for some 8 months) now that fan is not running. Anyway, could it be that, that fan burned out and has caused the unit to not power up? Or is it something else? and what does the flashing red light mean? Thanks for any and all help.
