My WD640 Washer/Dryer is 6 months old and has now died it won't switch on all. We have checked the obvious Socket and fuse are both working fine. Any suggestions would we greatly received.

take top off. check power present at suppressor capacitor (1st in line to power inlet) and power present at output from suppressor. you will needs a meter.
check on/off switch has power at input and output

hello, the reason for this because theres a dead short inside washer or the socket may have a loose wire check all the earth wires inside the washer and the sockets get back to me if you still have trouble
Could be mains choke. Mains power comes into mahine via wall socket /worth checking this then onto mains filter/Choke..then to switch..So if no power here check this..wish you well

According
to the manual ‘TEST’ should only appear in the display when the hardware key is
inserted into the rear socket of the machine ready to commence a test sequence.
The only advice I can give is to turn the appliance off and remove the plug
from the power socket for at least one minute then plug it back in and try it
again. These machines have 3 phase motors and the heat sink on the module
retains an electric charge for some time after the appliance has been switched
off so be mindful if you decide to venture into the inside of the cabinet.
F18 usually indicates a communication error according to Hotpoints error code list, if you have tried everything that you can and it still does not work, then you are going to have to call an engineer.
