QUESTION!!! Not a problem!!!Question: When I turn my LCD LC60C52U on in the upper right corner a small green square appears and in it is Cable Analog 3 Audio: Mono. I have Service Electric Cqable and I know they broadcast in digital and stero, Why does the TV keep indicating it's receiving in analog and mono? If this is the case?? Sam

Calibrate the control panel

Use the following procedure to calibrate the control panel:

1. Turn the device off.

2. Press and hold the # key and the C key.

3. Turn the device on.

4. When a small white square appears in the upper-left corner of the control-panel display, touch

the square with a stylus.

5. When a small white square appears in the lower-left corner of the control-panel display, touch

the square with a stylus.

6. Allow the device to finish the boot process.

Hope this helps.

Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

Hi, its unlikely to be the cable. Most likely cause of this is a faulty inverter board. If you are lucky it will only be 1 or 2 blown capacitors which are easily identifiable and replaceable once you have got inside it. it could however, be almost any of the components on the inverter board or even a failed backlight but this will require further testing and a knowledge of LCD monitor workings.

Usually the DISPLAY Button on your TV remote will toggle through several different functions: 1 sec, 5 sec, Always on..... Press button until display on TV is off. Or see if there is an ON SCREEN DISPLAY portion in the TV Menu and turn it to off if you have not checked that already.

Had same issue with my LG so I trouble shot the issue by noticing the green square would disappear if I switched to dvd(HDMI-2 ) Or HDMI-3. Which lead me to believe it was being generated by my Xfinity box (HDMI-1. So I first rebooted box. With no success I then unplugged box all together. Tah Dahhh! Problem fixed. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem. I manually rebooted the box and the 2 was gone. Hope this helps.

Is it a fuzzy spot or an actual hard edged black spot?LCD televisions can have a loss of pixel display- most very small. Was the TV hit with something or dropped against something (the screen)?

OR Try this first:
Black box appears on the screen
• Closed-captioning might be on. Check the Analog or Digital Caption option in the Setup menu.

Seeing the word "analog" on your screen means the monitor has recognized video input on the vga "analog" input connection.
Most computers output "analog" vga (15 pin) which must be converted to digital for a flat panel monitor to display the image.
Many LCDs now have both analog and digital inputs.

You should be watching your dvd's on an input and not on tv analog 3. Every time the tv "senses" a signal change in the audio that screen will pop up. Connect the DVD player to the tv by using either the red, white and yellow (composite) connections or using the green, blue, red, white and red (component). Once you are on an actual input that box will stop popping up.

I have the same camera. The green square icon appears while the camera is saving the picture. From your description, I think you were using "Shot Confirmation", and this setting was cleared during the repairs. Have you tried going into the Setup mode (on the dial) and reselecting Shot Confirmation? (p. 143 in the manual)
