Question about Pogo RipFlash Plus MP3 Player

1 Answer

Need software v. 1.13

I have a used Pogo RipFlash Plus MP3 Player v 1.13 that came w/o the cd for the mp3 manager. My other Pogo RipFlash Plus MP3 Player is v 2.38 & it won't recognize the v 1.13 unit. So I can't reformat the unit, since you need to use the manager for that. The only software on the pogo site is to update to the latest version for drivers, manager & firmware - which also does not recognize the v1.13 unit. I'm in catch 22 here. The unit works fine as a voice recorder - but I can't download or upload except as a realtime unit. And I've tried hooking up the two units to record from the older unit to the newer one, but while the old one keeps playing, the newer one only seems to record for a short time & then records dead air - weird.

One other idea - a kind of work-around. The Ripflash Plus supports a memory card. If you record to the card, you could pop it out, and pull the files off using a card-reader. I would not attempt to delete files except via the built in file-managing abilities of the RipFlash, however.

Cant get the unit to down load pix or vedio

Video files need to be converted into AVI format before being uploaded to your MP3 player with the AVI converter software that was included on your MP3 player. Your MP3 player must be in USB Disk mode before transferring video files. Once the desired video files have been converted to AVI format they can be uploaded to your MP3 player with the Media Manager software that was also included on the Software Application CD provided with your MP3 player.

Picture files also use the media manager

Not recognising my creative zen mp3 player...

i had the same problem but solved it, it seems that the usb driver does not always install with the software installation. so you must install using the DEVICE MANAGER make sure first your mp3 player is connected, so ( copy & paste) your software to desktop, then go to CONTROL PANEL, then SYSTEM, then HARDWARE then DEVICE MANAGER, in device manager you should see ( zen v plus ) with a yellow question mark above it, which means the drivers are missing, click onto that and follow instructions to install the drivers which you will find in the software you have pasted to desktop. good luck, tony spain
