Dryer not tumbling

My dryer is heating, but not tumbling. I took off the back cover but will have to take more apart to see if I can find a belt. Any suggestions?

Look up the model, google or the like and see if u can find some schematics. Its does seem likely to be the belt but u may find a better way to crack it open.

Siemens dryer powers on, but will not tumble.

Work on mainly Whirlpool Products did you put the belt on correctly there is probably a belt switch which is closed with a properly installed belt it is under the spring loaded idler pulley or maybe you for got to hook up the door switch hope this helps.

My belt is broken on my tumble dryer.took it apart and don't know how to put the new belt on

The belt goes around the drum, through the idler pulley onto the pulley on the motor. The idler fastens into several holes on the floor of the dryer.

Dryer turns on but won't heat up or tumble

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

Dryer not tumbling

A broken belt is very common. If you hear the motor running, that's probably it. The dryer must be taken all apart to replace the belt. Hopefully instructions will come with the new belt. Routing the belt over the motor shaft and around the tensioner is always a challenge.

Kenmore Heavy Duty Dryer 80 Series

It may be too late for you, but here it is. I had the same problem, took the dryer apart, and found that one of the rollers was broken. There are two plastic rollers at the bottom rear of the unit. Call around to local parts stores to see if they have this part. It's easy to fix, just takes all day because you have to completely dissasemble the dryer.
