Question about RCA F19436 19" TV
This TV has RCA jacks in front and on the back, but when hooking up the headphones, there is not sound. I know the headphones work, because when hooking them up to a earphone jack on a different TV they work fine. My 91 yr old mother is in a long-term care facility and she has to turn up the volume so high it disturbs the other residents. Headphones seemed to be a possible solution. I would like to use the TV because she is somewhat familiar with its operation. Harlan
SOURCE: audio output jacks
If I remember this tv correctly, check under the audio setting in the menu, most tv's including this on have variable output for the audio o/p. meaning the the o/p vol. is adjusted as the tv speaker vol. changes. some tv's will put out a fixed audio o/p to the rca jacks, but will only do this when the speakers are shut off in the menu (not muted, but off). I have run into this problem many times & have yet to find a better solution to getting a steady sound sound out of the o/p jacks.

Hook cable directly to television ( no box ) , Then autoprogram the set if you still have the problem replace the tuner it is about $30 rebuilt from Tip Top tuners.Do not attempt if you dont feel comfortable soldering precisely. IRIONS TV & Electronics www.Irionstvshop.com

is there a coaxial cable jack in the back of tv..(if not you may need an adapter..hook to antenna)..then set the tv to ch 3 and set to cable broadcast not air. then you will use the cable box to tune to ch.
