Bosch Logixx 8 - unblocking pump/removing front panels

I have a Bosch Logixx 8 Washing Machine WAS32466GB/08 which has an F18 fault code. Trying to get the pump cover off but completely jammed, no movement in either direction. A bit of searching tells me I can remove the panels to access the pump unit but I can't see how to - I've found one screw on the pump cover plate which I've taken out but the front bottom panel is still being held in place towards the middle and left end. How can I release it?

How-2Repair's video is fine but generic like most other vid's out there. But it doesn't explain how to remove the lower front panel on the Logixx 8. There is a holding tap to the high left of the pump cover, that can be releast by a screwdriver. Then in theory the panel can be pried loose, but for me, it seemed to require more force than I was willing to put on the some what flimsy panel. Instead, remove the rear cover and you'll have a clear view of the backside of the panel. It should be easy enough to reach the 4 pincer tap's still holding the front panel. Light squeeze and push, and they'll pop right out.

SOURCE: How do you remove Pump Cover on Logixx 8 washing machine?

I have a solution. You just keep turning the white knob anticlockwise. Use a pair of pliars to aid the turning keep going clockwise and anticlockwise if it gets stuck. It will rotate. Just opened my one and found a lollipop stick and a collar stiffner. Good Luck.

Error code F18

F18 error code means that the filter is blocked.

Look around for a propeller shaped part, it should be able to spin freely. If not, remove the debris so that it is unblocked.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

Yes.
Child lock active.
Hold start button 10 seconds.
Then it will deactivate.

If this is not the case, door lock fault or main board fault.

Bosh Washing Machine F18 fault

I also had this problem - the machine was full of water and it flashed up F18. I had to drain the water out of the machine using the small pipe located next to the drain filter. There was loads of water to drain out. I used my oven roasting tray which was perfect for the job. Then I undid the screwcap filter. There was a lot of really black water that came out, along with about two pounds worth of coins and some hairgrips. Now my machine works perfectly !
