Everything I have tried is in my original post.
It sounds like an overheating issue with the T-con board. You shouldn't have to run a house fan behind the TV to keep the screen on. Make sure you have the TV in a place where there is enough space around it to allow for air flow. Also, check to make sure the ventilation slots on the back of the TV are not blocked with dust.

verify if it only happens on the antenna/cable input and if it works fine with dvd or other input, then it is a signal issue with the cable or antenna u r using and repair that problem and not the tv

I am having a similar problem. Try reseating the ribbon cables being very careful with the clips that hold them. On the T-Con board. Sounds like either the Lcd panel screen itself or the t-con board.

I have a 55' Vizio Tru LED model VF552XVT. The TV ran fine for a year and a half and just recently the screen started shutting off after a few hours. I am aware that there is an issue where Vizio TVs randomly restart themselves, but i do not believe this is my issue as my logo does not flash orange and white. Infact only the screen turns off and the sound keeps playing. I then have to turn the TV off and then back on and it runs fine for 20 mins or so and turns off. Other than this the tv has no issues. The picure is excellent and there is no flickering. I took the back of the TV off and looked for bad capacitors on the mother board and main board and inspected the inverter board and found no visual damage. Also the TV does not shut down with the back cover off, as I left it running over night and almost the entire next day without ever having the screen turn off. I replaced the back and the the symptoms started up again. I now have mounted a small house fan to the back of my TV and the screen does not turn off. My question is what is the most likely culprit for this problem so I can repair or replace the problem component? Like i said there is no visual damage as far as I can see, so I have no idea which board needs to be replaced.
I checked the capacitors on the powerboard >.< not the mother board... lol
