You have overcharged your battery and need to get a new one and then you should get a charger with an IC smart chip that stopl charging once the battery reaches full. Motorola Phones in general have a problem with thier batteries.

well I guess I skipped the heating up part. If your battery is heating up at all it is a much bigger problem. Is your phone water damaged? Somehow your battery connection has fried and it is overcharging your battery.

Can't receive or send texts Razr v3

You definitely have a bad battery, if you let the battery run totally dead too many times it ruins them. You can get them cheap on-line. The text issue is carrier related, call them and have them help you test and make sure you still have messaging services on your account.

Battery runs down quick

This has sometimes been an issue with the V3. To insure it is not your usage of the phone, make sure bluetooth is not always on(it uses a lot of battery), make sure display lights are not on longer than actually needed, make sure you are not talking on the phone while charging it or pulling it off the charger before it is fully charged since either one will mess up the battery's memory and cause it to drain quickly. If you have went through those and the issue persists, batteries usually have some sort of warrenty in the first year of original purchase. If not aplicable, you might have to buy a new battery.

Charged cell phone

do not charge your mobile battery each night for best battery use, you need to charge the phone only when the battery is completely dead.

You should take the phone and have it fully check and service

"unable to charge" message & person on other end cannot hear me

Go to a skilled mechanic, request him to check the charger, the charging connector, the charging controller IC to solve the problem.

V3 never registers when I close it, battery is being wasted!

You forgot to replace a small magnet that goes in the upper right corner of the cover (when closed) next to the screen. Try to put a magnet in the circular hole.

My motorola V3 heats up like crazy

Thats normal for the phone to do that. Don`t expect it to remain cool when its charged. It is going to get a little hot.
