So I got a nokia 6682 about 2 weeks ago. I have a 64 mb card in it right now, I have a 2gig on order. When I try to take pictures with the phone and I change the settings to save them to the card I get this error message "Unable to access memory card. Phone memory will be used." I turned off my phone and turned it on again, and it worked, but every few pictures I get this message. Any ideas?
Wipe your MMC card metal contacts carefully and insert it again, this happen beacause your mobile cant able to detect MMC from tour phone one big reason behind that is there is thin layer beatween MMC metal contact and phone cocnnectors contacts. so wipe that metal contacts of MMC and your problem will solved.

75 MB in use and 13 MB free the rest memory details are: Calender: 32 KB Contacts: 177 KB Messages: 142 B images: 197 KB Sound files: 0 KB Video files: 0kb Documents: 177 KB MIDP apps: 6 KB SIS apps: 7166 KB Other files: 64 MB You have given these detail. But actually no need to put this.the only question is which memory status that you are mention here..is it for phone or mmc(Edrive)?anyway here is the trick don't bother for mmc memory you just consider the phone memory.First make backup all the important data like Contacts, messages etc. which is in the phone memory.and try to format by pressing *#7370# and put pin code when ask.
format your memory card with computer
disconnect your memory card from phone
connet memory car to computer, using card reader
at computer open windows explorer, at memory card drive right click then chose format, then chose start, wait until finish
connect again to your phone
dont worry it caused by some virus attack in phone . first remove the memory card . then switch offf the phone . hold *,3 and green dial key together . then switch on the phone without relasing it . be sure all the keys are pressed firmly together . then the phone show a blank white screen for sometime then ask for time zone as if u buy it first time . if the roblem is solved format the meory card . the virus usally resides in memory card
I had the same problem. The store where I got my phone checked another phone off the shelf and it had the same problem, and so did another one. But they gave me a 512 mb card and it works.
But I still want my 64 mb card working.
