My Sony camera is giving this flashing message C:13:01 - "Memory Stick Error". How can I fix it, thank you. By the way I have already tried the method mentioned on this site: http://batteringram.org/misc/f707repair/ but it did not work.

i think this problem arises when you fail to regularly format the card ie. take lots of pictures and delete some and repeat the process over and over instead of downloading every session and formatting the card causing coruption. Also if you've bought pro duo memory stick off ebay poss. its a very good forgery (again i've been caught out by this).

Hi
Switch your camera to Setup on the control **** located on the top.
Take out the memory stick and press the reset button located inside the battery compartment.
Now switch on the camera and insert the memory stick.
If you do not get the error go to the little toolbox on the menu. Select the format option and proceed through the warning messages. Remeber you will loose all data on the memory stick.
Things should now work. If not some simple thing that sound bezare but has worked for me is pushing the memory stick in and out before the camera displays the error. Do this several times until the camera actually reads the stick and them format the stick first chance you get.
Good luck.

As 'debacle" already pointed out, the "no memory stick" error is likely caused by the ribbon cable connecting the memory stick bay. Instructions for how to fix this problem can be found on this web page. Following these instructrions, I had the problem on my F707 solved in less than 20 minutes.
