I have a BB9000 - Bold and it says I have an e-mail message when i dont how do I clear this?

Delete multiple messages

  1. On the Home screen, click the Messages icon.
  2. Perform one of the following actions:

Try to check the battery if it ok. Clean the contact edges of both the battery and phone with a damp soft cloth and try again.

This should work, worked for my bb storm.

My blackberry curve red LED light wont stop flashing even if i dont have a notification.
f you set Repeat Notification to NONE in your Profiles, you won't get the LED flashing. Do that for EACH message type in your active profile, as well as in and out of holster settings.

The Messages > Options > General Options > Display New Message Indicator setting refers to the "star" that appears on the folder when new mail arrives.

My BB9000 is not loud enough. I selected the profile "loud" , selected the "classic ring tone phone", set the volume to 10 and I can hardly hear the ring tone. Thanks, Victor
Did you put your own ring tone on there? If so...it is not loud enough. I know this from previous experience. When you record one and drag into the mini sd card you have to do it very loud. You can use the recorder that comes with that phone and record one and then select it as the tone but make sure you get it close to the mike.

This is a link that will clear the notifications, sometimes you have to pause on the message long enough for the number count to go down. Select "All Messages" and make sure to click all the ones that are in bold.

E-mail indicator shows a message (but I do not)
I had a same problem when draft messages or other messages being saved without my knowledge.
I have the Pearl and here's how you can check the folder.
  1. Click the message icon
  2. Press menu button
  3. Select "View Saved Messages"
If you see any un-opened message or draft messages that you won't need, delete them.
Mail indicator will disappear immediately.
