Have you uninstalled and then rebooted? It may sound an odd question, but if you do not reboot, then all of the associated data is not removed.

Once rebooted, let the system identify New Hardware and then follow the on screen instructions.

You need a bootable CD of XP SP2 for installing OS..then u need the driver for ur laptop ..u can download those driver from toshiba site...

Go here : http://www.brothersoft.com/everest-home-edition-61488.html and download and install this file. It will tell you exactly which graphics card and drivers you have installed. Visit the manufacturers website to download and install latest drivers.
This will surely fix your problem.
