SOURCE: NEEDLE KEEPS COMING UNTHREADED WILL NOT CATCH IN FABRIC

Most machines need to have the thread extend to the back of the machine in order not to come unthreaded.

Make sure you are threading the machine correctly and it has the proper tension. Also check the bobbin the thread has to go thru the little lash

JC Penney model 7015AI Overlock Serger sewing machine. I need a power cord for it please.

Question edited for clarity.

They make it with a strange plug that goes into the foot pedal. It looks like you have to buy it complete.

Setting tensions on a 928 Nelco serger, I had a couple little hands turn the tension knobs and I cannot remember where they need to be set, I have some notes to set at 3333 but not working.......

The factory default is the midway point between high & low numbers on each of the tension dials. This is generally the setting for a basic overlock stitch. However, different tension settings is how different stitches are created.

First Thread breaks on nelco 928 why?

Remove all the threads.
Replace the needle.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning.
Verify each thread is in the correct thread path.
ALWAYS THREAD each in the order specified or you will continue to have problems--for a lot of machines, the order is Upper Looper, Lower Looper, then needles.
Check the tension on that particular thread--too tight, it will break.

Breaking thread after about an inch usually indicates it is mis-threaded--a guide has been skipped or threaded out of order or the thread may be wrapped around something.

How to thread a model 928 serger from JC Penney? I bought it at a yard sale without a Manuel and it isn't sewing correctly

Usually, there is a thread guide (picture of how to thread it) on the inside flap when you open it. You can also search online for the manual. Be sure to spell it "manual". Good luck!

Sould i use overlock thead on my brother embroidery/sewing maching

It is, of course, possible to use overlock thread in a typical machine. Generally speaking, you only want to use overlock thread to overlock ("serge"). The reason for this if that while typical all-purpose or sewing machine thread has 3 strings wound together, overlock thread has only 2. When you are using 3, 4, or even 8 threads at a time with a serger, each strand doesn't necessarily have to be as strong as when you are sewing on a machine with only 2 threads. So, you physically could use the thread, yes, but it will not be near as strong, and you will probably have issues with breakage while sewing as well. The cost savings you think you may be saving by using overlock thread (which is, after all, considerably cheaper per yard), well soon be overrun with extra time sewing due to broken threads and overall less quality in your garment as it will be made weaker.
