If you mean the fuel pump re-set button, Fords used to put them in the trunk area, maybe behind a trim or moulding piece. If it's not there, you may have to check with the dealer, or someone familiar with later Escorts. Good luck.

• You need to open up the drivers side door and look at that harness that stretches between the door and the door frame. Inside that harness are the wires for the electronics in the cabin and then some.

• Over time those wires get pinched and crack and break. So you need to splice the casing (or just simply slide the harness to one side and then the other) open the long ways and inspect the wiring. Your looking for broke, split, rusted, bulging or otherwise negated wiring. The boots on either side may need to come off to look up inside for broke wires as well. Usually it's pretty evident which wires are messed up but sometimes you have to do a little digging.

• When you find the broke wire[s] splice some new wire[s] in and use electric tape to re-insulate.

• This is a common problem across the board with many car manufacturers and repairing the harness almost always is the fix in a situation such as yours.

open the other rear door and lift up on the bottom edge of the back seat to remove it.
this should allow you access to the door trim panel.

vehicle identification number. look on drivers side,windsheild on dash under windsheild wiper,will have to look at it from outside the car through windsheild. another place located is drivers side door jam. where the door closes at latch assembly. also located on your vehicle registration and insurance info. or your car title. there are 4 different solutions i've posted to you. thank you for choosing fixya.com

check the fuel filter maybe not put on right or break in line.

i have never heard of a chassis number to tell you the truth but the vin# is in the window on the drivers side you can see it when you look into the car through the windshield from the outside and all other information is on the inside of the Drivers door jam

go to a ford dealer in the parts department and ask them for the diagram on how to replace

Are you talking about the key cylinder or the electric lock button? If you are talking about the key,you need to remove the door panel and watch the lock rod move up and down. There is a plastic clip that pops open or breaks from age. If you are talking about the electric lock, will the passenger door lock move when you press the lock button on the drivers door? Does the passenger door make a grunt noise when trying to lock/unlock?
