Were is the expantion of A/C located in chavy cavalier 2003

2003 Thunderbirds do not have an expansion valve, they use what is called a fixed orifice.

Hi Britnie, The battery light means it's not charging , Alternator problem , possibly ! Is there a auto parts store near you ? Most will check it out for free ! With ac not working too , could be just the serpentine belt . The belt turns the alternator an ac compressor !

The best way to find it is go and get the new IAC Valve so you know exactly what it looks like ..While at the parts store get a small tube of die electric lube and safety glasses.make sure engine is cold...Set park brake and raise hood..Disconnect negative battery cable for safety and because if you unplug IAC Valve it will cause a dash trouble light to come on if battery is connected...So..Disconnect battery..Look at the top of the engine on or behind throttle body..You may have to remove air filter..Look around top center and you should see the valve...Carefully disconnect Valve wiring connector..Remove Valve..Inspect housing for any damage or contamination..Clean with shop towel if needed...Use lube that was purchased and lube o-ring on valve..Install valve and snug the screws tight..DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN..Lube connector terminals and reconnect wiring..Install battery negative cable that was removed ..Don't OVERTIGHTEN ..Just tight enough where you can't twist it off...Start engine and test drive.....complete..

This job is easy, the purge valve is located in the engine compartment, all you need to do is dissconnect two vacuum lines and an electrical connector then it slides off its bracket and off it comes, this takes about 10mins to replace, lets see if i can give you a picture of the valve and a diagram off its location.here are pictures, the valve is on the top rear area of the engine. hope this is helpful, good day.

the egr valve is located on the drivers side next to the fuel rail. here is a picture of the valve

they will be located just before the radiator core in the cab but some american vehicles have the expansion valve inside the actual pipe its known as a reed valve or flute valve ,but in american ??? i have no idea what you would call them

These are different engines. You are about to open a big can of worms ,
I have not done this swap my self so if the engines do not look identical (ie DOHC MPFI)on the valve cover and air snorkle, I would look elsewhere for a decent 2002 model car because the 02 is a 2 valve per cyl. car and the 03 is a 4 valve per cyl. car and I can mostly guarantee the ECU wiring harness for them are different. not to mention there are different EGR locations on this 2,2.
This is a 'throw away" engine meaning it's not worth rebuilding.been there, got the t-shirt.

The spark plugs on the cavalier are under the 2.2 ecotec panel located on the top of the engine. There are no spark plug wires to deal with. The electronic coil pack directly attaches to the plugs with rubber seats like in a spark plug end. Then you use a deep socket ratchet to get the plugs out. Use anti-seize compound when replacing the plugs.

show me a picture. everyone else says it's on the passenger side. nothing white on driver side of my 03 expedition.
