Question about Samsung Yepp YP-Z5QB MP3 Player
When first purchased, the initial wakeup charging is critical to the battery's life. Try "re-setting" the Z5 (ie press micro switch, for 3 secs to re-initialise the built-in firmware). This procedure will overide everything. If this gets it goin long enough, then download the latest firmware update from Samsung website (download centre/mp3) and save newest firmware onto your Z5 - your manual should explain how to do this. Always update your Z5 with latest firmware when available (ensure you choose the appropriate version for your Windows OS), to eliminate any bugs in the firmware. If this doesn't resolve, and is still under the factory warranty (less than 12mnths), then have it serviced by an approved Samsung agent. Good luck.

I think it says somewhere in the user guide to take care not to over charge it. also did you charge it fully and then let it die before you started using it? Maybe that's your problem, because my battery stays good for days. other than that, i'd say that it's faulty. is it under warranty?
