My son spilled soda on our keyboard. Now the x and s stick. I took it apart and cleaned it, but it still sticks. Also, a wire fell out from the space bar and I cannot figure out how to put it back. Thus the space bar has lost its bounce or spring.

You know that keyboard price is very cheap nowadays :)
If stick that you mean you press the key and it won't return back to normal position, try to dip the key that you've taken apart to a hot water and shake a little. Not too hot or it will melt :)
If stick that you mean although already took apart the "x" and the "s" seems to be pressed repeatedly then you must clean the inner part of the keyboard. In this point, pls consider warranty or buying a new one instead because its not worth the pain.
And please spare me the space bar :) it needs a patient and a basic physics rule of how springs works :)

You cleaned the rubber under the buttons and the buttons too? All you do is put the metal bars straight down then angle it about 10 degree towards you then put it in like a regular key, but if you lost the wire then.... might need to get a new one, heh.

Many of my keys (including the space bar) are sticking. Nothing liquid has spilled on it. I took the keys off and cleaned it of anything that may have gotten into it. Any suggestions?

Cheap keyboards are not built to last. If you want a long lasting keyboard get a good mechanical one. They may cost a little more up front but you wont need to replace it for a long time.

Spilled soda on toshiba laptop m505, keyboard is not working. keys don't stick anymore but not working. what do you recommend to fix it?

You need a new keyboard. The sugar in the soda caused the damage and will further corrode the keyboard.

I would also recommend that you clean the area where the soda may have spilled to on the system board.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

Seveal keys stick

On mine I have a couple of keys that stick To unstick them turn thekeyboard upside down and then knock on it just like you are knocking on a door. That pops the leys loose. do not try to pry them loose.

Past that you need to take the leyboard apart and clean. If you have spilled something you have to clean or replace.

Spill soda on my laptop keyboard

It is likely the only problem is that the soda is causing the keys to stick. There is probably no damage to any other internal components. Usually, laptop keyboards have a metal-based frame/tray that will protect the internal components from minor spills.

If you want to get rid of the cracking sound, you'll need to purchase a replacement keyboard from the laptop manufacturer or another source such as eBay, and then remove the sticky keyboard and replace it with the newly purchased one.
