I had the same problem several times, the light basicaly means that there is power reaching it. Try reinstal ur usb drivers. If nothing, unplug it and look into the part of the plug that goes into the computer. I alway had problems with those little pins bending or breaking. If one was bent I would get a pair of pliars and gently straighten it. If it were missing i would attempt soldering a new 1 on (the latter only worked once). However this can distroy equipment and it would b advisable to contact profesionals

How do I get the mouse to mouse the mouse cursor

the battery in the mouse makes the red light come on, not the operating system.
Look in Device manager, find the mouse, uninstall the drivers, scan for new devices, re-install the drivers.
Otherwise look for new drivers on manufacturers site.

Hi, I have an Logitech cordless optical mouse M/N: M-RCQ142, P/N:810-000452. I am trying for the 1st time to connect it to my new laptop running windows 7 and when I push the connect button on the bottom...

That is a Bluetooth Mouse. Your computer MUST have a bluetooth adapter or capability (Usually a laptop). You will use the Bluetooth control panel (not the add hardware wizard) to search for this device.

My ge wireless mouse will not work. Everything lights up and I push the links and turn on but it does not work. I have a dell and have newest windows.

just to be sure, make sure you have new batteries in the mouse. Then go ahead and unplug the usb adapter for that mouse and then plug it back in and see if windows detects it properly.

If it does see if it works then, if it still doesn't work then the mouse is bad and would need to be replaced. Also if windows detects it but can't find the drivers, you'll need to use the disc to install the software for it.

Mouse only worked for a couple of hours

Do you access the internet? Go to Control Panel->Add Remove Programs and remove this mouse. Reboot. Then install the mouse drivers again and after a reboot attach the mouse. Allow Windows to detect the mouse and loadup its drivers.

Mikomi optical mouse lights up but does not work

Uninstall the Software Driver then restart Windows. Windows Will re - detect the mouse and you will have to reinstall the Driver software for the wireless mouse. Or after uninstalling the Drivers, Remove the USB receiver and reisntall the software first then plug in the receiver then restart Windows. Check the battery for the mouse as well.
