Q : How come my optical mouse cannot detect by windows but has light on it.

How come my mouse cannot detect by windows. when I start using my computer it prompt "windows cannot detect..." but has light on it, meaning I have connect it in my ps/2. please answer this, because I dont know how to troubleshoot a computer. Thank u po!. :D

I had the same problem several times, the light basicaly means that there is power reaching it. Try reinstal ur usb drivers. If nothing, unplug it and look into the part of the plug that goes into the computer. I alway had problems with those little pins bending or breaking. If one was bent I would get a pair of pliars and gently straighten it. If it were missing i would attempt soldering a new 1 on (the latter only worked once). However this can distroy equipment and it would b advisable to contact profesionals
