-F2- on my display

One day my oven, 95023, displayed a E1 -F2-. I press cancel and it goes away for a couple seconds then comes back. I turn the breaker off for about a half hour and then when it comes back on it is fine for about and hour. What does this code mean???

Cougar, not sure what numbers your model starts with, but on some of the Kenmores the code is for a bad or damaged key tail on the control panel ribbon. Disconnect the keypanel ribbon from the main board and clean the ends with an eraser. Plug it back in and see if the error goes away. Catriver..post back.

Audible alarm sounded--"F2 "appeared on

Your model is actually a 911. Roper (Whirlpool)

The F2 error code is

E0 - Shorted keypad (also called touch pad)

E1 - Keypad cable unplugged

E5 - Cancel key drive line open

E6 - Cancel key drive line open

Solutions:

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).

2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Oven gets a "fault" shortly after putting power back on.

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

Whirlpool code E6 F2

Hello ssuebe51
Welcome

Turn the power off to the oven.

Check the connection from the key pad to the clock.

If the connection is good then put back together.

Turn power back on and press the cancel button.

If the error code returns after 60 seconds then the keypad will have to be replaced.

After a power failure I am getting the code e1 f1 flashing on my display board and it will not go away.

q.gif Why is the display showing E"#"-F"#," for example, E1-F2?
Answer Is "PF" displayed on the control?
A temporary power failure has been detected. Press the Stop/Clear keypad to reset your control. You may need to reset your clock.
Is the display showing E0-F5?
The Self-Cleaning latch may be interfering with the oven door causing the Self-Cleaning cycle not to work. If the oven door is open and will not lock, press Stop/Clear to clear the display, press and hold the door switch plunger (located in the upper-right corner of the oven front), and the door latch will unlock. If the oven door is closed and locked, press Stop/Clear to clear the display; apply pressure to the upper-right corner of the oven door, and the door will unlock.
Is the display showing E"#"-F"#," for example, E1-F2?
You will need to schedule service.

F2:E1

This has happens to us regularly. Today when it happened I unplugged the oven and let the it cool hoping that would help. It didn't. I did that several times over a couple of hours to no avail. When it powers up, there are a sequence of different readings on the screen before the error code comes up. In my final effort, just before the code F2:E1 appeared, and it read PF, I quickly turned on the oven and that interrupted the sequence. It is now working. Lucky. I hope this helps someone.

Double oven will not work sometime

Mobley, F2-E6 code is cancel key drive line open. The tech sheet I have on this recommends reseating the keypad connector. It then states to press cancel. If the error comes back within 60 seconds replace the keypad....Catriver..post back.
