I have two Bonaire's with HEPA filters, both about 3 to 4 months old and about a week ago the red light indicator by the squiggly lines on the filter came on. I turned them off, cleaned the filters but they are still red. Of course, I can't find my book that came with either one, so any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Anita
I have a Bionaire tower air filter model BAP1700 that I bought from Costco. The filter check LED came on recently after 5 months of use. After cleaning the Permatech filters, I tried every remedy on this website including following the instructions that say push power button for 2 secs. Nothing worked. Then I noticed a tiny hole on the control panel in front of clean filter LED; I pushed a paper clip pin into that hole, felt a click, held it down and 2 secs later, LED went out. Success!

I have a BAP1500 and held the power down while pressing each other button and that did nothing, but I continued holding the power button maybe 10 seconds then the red light flashed a few times then went out.

Bionaire unfortunately do not provide a manual online for the bap1500u - you should be able to get one direct from; http://www.bionaire.com/contactUs.aspx The red light definitely is indicating that filters need cleaning, and on most models, this needs to be reset after cleaning. The 1500 definitely has a manual reset feature, sorry i cant find exact details on how to do it. some have a simple "reset" button, others may need only unplugging from the power for 15 minutes, while some may need a combination of buttons pressed - you should try all possible combinations, press and hold the power button for a few seconds may do the trick etc. Here you can get the manual for the BAP1175/1300 under "product details"; http://www.amazon.com/Bionaire-BAP1175-Quietech-HEPA-Cleaner/dp/B00005JHQE For these models you simultaneously press the "sleep" and "power" buttons to reset - these models are dissimilar, but just possibly the reset is the same. Hope this helps :)

The Intelli-Check™ Filter Monitors will indicate replacement of the pre-filter and the
HEPA filter. Depending upon your individual usage (environment and hours used),
you may need to check and replace the filters more or less frequently.
To check Expected Filter Life Usage
When the unit is turned on, quickly press the appropriate filter monitor button. The
pre-filter light will flash up to 3 times and the HEPA filter light will flash up to 4 times,
depending upon how much expected filter life has been used.
PREFILTER:
1 flash = from new, up to 1/3 expected life used up
2 flashes = between 1/3 and 2/3 expected life used up
3 flashes = between 2/3 and all of expected life used up
Remains on = time to check/replace pre-filter
HEPA FILTER:
1 flash = from new, up to 1/4 expected life used up
2 flashes = between 1/4 and 1/2 expected life used up
3 flashes = between 1/2 and 3/4 expected life used up
4 flashes = between 3/4 and all of expected life used up
Remains on = time to check/replace HEPA filter
To RESET Filter Monitor
When the filter monitor light remains on, it is time to check/replace the filter and reset
the filter monitor, if needed. With the unit powered on, press and hold the appropriate
filter monitor button down for approximately 5 seconds until the light turns off.
Depending upon your individual usage (environment and hours

i have the pufifiier for about a couple of months and i have cleaned the filter and the red light continues to stay on. whats wrong with the purifier
Same problem with red light staying on after cleaning and installing new filters. I do not have a reset button, but I noticed a small black dot under the indicator lights. I stuck a sharp pencil into the hole, holding for 10 seconds and sure enough the green light came on.
I am wondering the best way to clean my permatech filter.Any ideas? Thanks floyd
