You may have it set to manual feed. Check printer setting on desktop. You will have to do a little searching. Printer options vary quite a bit. Start by right clicking printer and choosing Printer Preferences > Paper/Quality > Paper Source. This is my route, but again yours may vary.

You don't specify from which application are you printing, or even what operating system are we talking about.
If it's Windows, then you need to open your document, hit Ctrl+P or choose File->Print from the menu, and in the Print dialog that appears specify "1 - 44" in the Pages field. Finally confirm by clicking OK.
